Welcome to the Members-Only FAQ
Welcome to the Members Only FAQ
Ask me anything you’re curious about. Whether it’s the story itself or how I write it, I’ll answer with insight and a little creative dirt under my nails.
This is where paid subscribers get to poke around the roots of the stories, tug on a few vines, and ask, “Wait…what’s the story behind this part?”
Each month (or whenever the spirit moves me 😉), I’ll answer one or two of your questions right here (hopefully more). Think of it as a behind-the-scenes tour; but instead of a velvet rope and a bored teenager in a headset, it’s me, your very human author, digging through the compost pile of inspiration, metaphor, backstory, and emotional truth.
What You Can Ask
This isn’t about plot summaries or literary analysis, it’s about curiosity. Ask things like:
Why did Agatha leave the house to Lynette?
What’s something Sam doesn’t know about himself yet?
Did this scene come from your life?
Was the mugger meant to symbolize anything?
Why does the garden feel like its own character?
What does the crooked fern represent?
Basically, if it made you pause, ache, laugh, or tilt your head; I want to hear about it.
How to Submit a Question
Substack Chat
I’ll occasionally post a prompt in Substack Chat asking what you’re curious about.
Just reply directly with your question.
You can also leave a comment below, it accomplishes the same thing.
What Happens Next
I’ll choose one or two questions each month and answer them right here. The responses may take the form of:
A story that didn’t make it into the final draft
A character’s journal entry
A personal memory that inspired a scene
A metaphor explained from the inside out
A story or article I read, or a quote I overheard
All of it is exclusive to paid members. All of it created because you asked.
Why This Exists
I’m shifting from coaching to writing full time, and this space helps me do that.
But this isn’t just about financial support. It’s about building something together. This FAQ is a conversation. Your curiosity helps shape what stories I share next. So go ahead. Ask something.
The garden is listening.
