You’re Already the Miracle
Ever stop and realize you’re here?
Right now.
Breathing.
Feeling.
Still becoming.
Not a tree. Not a snail. Not a storm or a speck of dust caught in a sunbeam.
You’re a person.
Born against odds that make winning the lottery look like a warm-up round.
You didn’t just beat the 1 in 400 trillion shot of being born exactly as you.
You were born human.
And that alone?
That’s the real superpower.
Before Autism. Before ADHD. Before the Labels.
Some people say ADHD is a superpower.
That autism is a gift.
And yeah, there are days when our brains sparkle like rogue fireworks.
When we connect dots no one else sees.
When we feel the world in ways that are both too much and just right.
But before all that?
You’re a human being.
You imagine futures that haven’t happened yet.
You cry when strangers reunite in airport terminals.
You grieve and love and keep showing up anyway.
You try again, even when you swore you were done.
That’s not “high-functioning.”
That’s what makes this species breathtaking.
For Those of Us With AuDHD
Being human while neurodivergent can feel…
confusing.
Like you got dropped into a video game on expert mode without the tutorial.
You overanalyze a text you sent six hours ago.
You rewrite the grocery list three times and still forget the one thing you needed.
You feel too much.
You try too hard.
And you wonder if maybe, just maybe, you’re built wrong.
But here’s the truth no one tells us loud enough:
You weren’t born broken. You were born rare.
And being rare in a world built for averages doesn’t make you defective.
It makes you sacred.
Try This Right Now
Breathe in and notice:
You’re here.
You’ve laughed through grief.
You’ve held love in your body like a memory that refuses to fade.
You’ve navigated pain without a map.
And you still want to know what comes next.
Let yourself feel that. Just for a second.
Because that’s what being human is.
Not perfect. Not pain-free.
Just… present.
And holy in the mess of it.
If You Love Someone Who Feels Like Too Much
Don’t try to fix them.
Don’t offer silver linings.
Sit with them.
Ask questions like,
“What’s the hardest part of being in your head today?”
“Is there something I can carry with you, even if I can’t fix it?”
Remind them, gently, that just by being human,
they’re already enough.
The Bottom Line
Before your brilliance, before your quirks, before your pain…
You are human.
You beat impossible odds.
You feel and fall and rise and reach.
And you still believe in connection.
Being human is the real superpower.
Everything else is just seasoning.
